Peccary Coloring Page

The body of the peccary is very similar to that of a pig with a long snout, large head and very small fragile legs. Usually black or brown on adults and red or brown on infants, their coat is extremely thick and coarse and acts as a key defense characteristic. White-lipped peccaries can be found from southern Mexico to northern South America. They usually never stray very far from their birthplace except to find a new source of food. Peccaries almost always live very close to some type of water source and take shelter in caves or thickets.
