A Greener Future for Coffee Farmers: Rainforest Alliance and the Nespresso AAA Program

Nespresso and the Rainforest Alliance have long shared the belief that the quality of a cup of coffee is not just defined by its flavor, but also by the impact it has on people and nature. Guided by this belief, in 2003 Nespresso with support from the Rainforest Alliance launched the Nespresso AAA Sustainable Quality Program. Aimed at helping farmers build resilience while also cultivating high quality coffee beans, the AAA Program provides participating farmers with technical support from an expansive network of agronomists as well as a competitive premium for their harvest.

Now in its 18th year of operation, the AAA Program offers a wealth of insights into responsible sourcing and building farmer resilience.
