A Call for Coordination at the 2024 Climate, Biodiversity, and Desertification (Land) COPs Position Paper

Many of the same government, civil society, and corporate leaders who attend the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) in Cali will also participate in the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Baku and the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) in Riyadh, alongside the G20 Summit. These leaders need to connect the summits and ensure that they are taking coordinated action. If we want to build a better future for people and nature, we need to move forward together—and the three COPs of 2024 present an excellent opportunity to do so.
