Nina Haase has been a member of the Rainforest Alliance Board of Directors since 2018 and was on the UTZ Supervisory Board before that.
Nina has 20 years of professional experience working with leading credible certification schemes, research, economic cooperation and development and environmental conservation organizations – close to 15 of which she spent working with WWF in various roles and offices culminated in leading a global program on market transformation. Though her roles varied greatly from campaigning and communications to advocacy, project management and strategic coordination, the underlying theme has always been how to address the root causes of ecosystem degradation. Today, Nina works with the Center for International Forest Research (Cifor).
She holds an MSc in Sustainable Development from the London School of Economics and lived and worked in the USA, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Indonesia, and China, where she started her career as a lecturer in political sciences.
