Miguel Angel’s professional career has had a strong trajectory in multinational companies such as HSBC and Coca-Cola Company. At HSBC, he held the position of Chair of the HSBC Foundation and Executive Director of Public Affairs and Corporate Sustainability for Mexico and Latin America. Later on, at Coca-Cola Company, he also held executive positions as the head of the Coca-Cola Foundation and the Corporate Sustainability department.
In his role at the Rainforest Alliance, Miguel promotes sustainable economic development projects and implements partnerships with key stakeholders in Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Honduras, and Nicaragua.
Miguel has been a professor in Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Sustainability, both at the Anahuac University and the San Pablo CEU University in Madrid. He has been on various NGO boards, including Junior Achievement Mexico, Ver Bien para Aprender Mejor, Bécalos, Fundación Beca, and Fundación IMMS, among others. Miguel has a degree and a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from IES in Madrid, Spain.
