Marilú Hernández de Bosoms was born in Mexico City and is co-founder of Grupo Plan, a Mexican real estate company specializing in the development of hotels and resorts.
In 2002 she founded Fundación Haciendas Mundo Maya, a non-profit organization that advances regional development in Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula.
Hernández de Bosoms serves on the board of several companies and nonprofit organizations including Fondo Mexicano para la Conservacion de la Naturaleza, Proagro, and the Fideicomiso del Museo de Historia Natural. She previously was the chair of the World Heritage Alliance, board member of Banamex, and member of the advisory board of World Wildlife Fund-Mexico.
She holds a business and finance degree from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico, and a Master’s degree in public policy.
