Chandra Panjiwibowo is the Rainforest Alliance’s Asia Pacific Senior Director. He oversees the execution of the organization’s programmatic work for the region, including China, India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Turkey, the Philippines, and Vietnam. He has over 20 years of experience working in the environmental sector, focusing on agricultural supply chains, forestry, natural resources management, food security, and climate change.
Previously, he served as the Indonesia Country Representative at UTZ before the organization merged with the Rainforest Alliance in 2018. Prior to joining the Rainforest Alliance, he dedicated his career to addressing climate change through environmental programs at international and national organizations, including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations World Food Programme (UNWFP), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF), and the Pelangi Foundation.
